Terms and Conditions

Use of the Trails Network beta is subject to the following terms and conditions. As part of the registration process, you must agree to these terms.

1) Zero liability

Memex Trails and the Trails Network are beta software. They WILL contain bugs.

While we've done our best to test this software to ensure the integrity of your data, you understand that All-Seeing Interactive cannot guarantee you won't lose data you store on the Trails Network, or any data you import into Memex Trails. If you install the Memex Trails application on your computer, you understand that All-Seeing Interactive accepts no liability whatsoever for any problems that may arise directly or indirectly from its use. If you choose to store information on the Trails Network, we make no guarantee that it won't be lost or made unavailable for any period of time.

When the Trails Network beta is complete, we cannot guarantee that we will make the service or the application available to you in future (though we hope to be able to do so!) You understand that we cannot guarantee future access to data you have stored in Memex Trails or on the Trails Network once the beta is complete.

2) Beta participation

When you sign up for the Trails Network beta, you agree to help test the software. This means you should report bugs that you find to support@trails-network.net, or via the Trails Network forums.

3) Access to the beta programme

Accounts for the Trails Network beta are provided on a first come, first serve basis, and a limited number of accounts will be made available. You agree that as an individual you will not register for more than one account.

4) Privacy

You understand that from time to time, we may send email updates to advise you of changes or new features to the Trails Network or Memex Trails. By signing up to the beta, you agree to receive emails from us, with the understanding that you can opt-out of these emails at any time from the Email and Privacy section of the My Account area within the Trails Network web interface.

5) Acceptable behaviour

You agree that you will not harass other users on the Trails Network forums or via any other means facilitated by your access to the beta programme.

You agree that you will not post inflammatory material on the Trails Network forums or via any other means facilitated by your access to the beta programme. What constitutes harassment will be determined by All-Seeing Interactive on an individual basis, but you agree that you will not post discriminatory material on the Trails Network forums, including (but not limited to) racist, xenophobic, sexist or anti-religious comments.

You agree that you will not post any content to which you do not own the copyright, including copyrighted images, video, software, music or any other information.

6) Acceptable material for use on the Trails Network

The Trails Network incorporates features that allow users to share data with each other. You agree that you will not attempt to share or store any content to which you do not own the copyright on the Trails network, including copyrighted images, video, software, music or any other information.

7) Ownership

By storing your data on the Trails Network you do not forfeit any rights you have to ownership of that material. Any information you choose to store on the Trails Network remains your property.

8) Personal use

Access to the Trails Network beta is for personal use only. The Trails Network beta should not be used by companies and organisations.

9) Security

As part of the registration process you are required to choose a password. It is your responsibility to ensure you choose a password that is both difficult to guess and unique to your use of the Trails Network. We store your password in an encrypted form, this means we do not have access to your password. However, you should still ensure you do not re-use an existing password from another service, to protect against unauthorised access by persons other than yourself.

If at any time you feel your account may have been compromised, and another person has logged into your account, it is your responsibility to contact us at support@trails-network.net immediately.

10) Suitabilty

All-Seeing Interactive makes no warranty of the suitability of the Memex Trails or Trails Network software for any purpose.

11) Terms and Conditions may be subject to change

These Terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. You understand that it is your responsibility to check this page for any updates, and to ensure you agree to any new terms of use. If you do not agree to any changes, you must cancel your access to the Trails Network beta (see below).

12) Access

You accept that if you break any of the above terms and conditions, you may have your access to the Trails Network Beta revoked, and you will be unable to access any data you may have stored on the Trails Network.

13) Cancelling your access to the beta

At any time you may cancel your access to the beta programme. To do so send an email to support@trails-network.net stipulating that you wish to leave the beta.
