If I register for the Trails Network, will you send me a lot of email?
A lot: no. Some: yes. One reason we require that people need to register to download Memex Trails is that we’d like to keep them updated on what’s happening. Over the next few months, we hope to be adding more features to the Trails Network, and we hope to release more Trails Network-compatible applications this year.
If you don’t wish to receive email from us, you can opt out at any time by changing the preferences on your My Account page.
Will you share my data with third parties?
No.
How do Memex Trails and the Trails Network ensure my data is private?
Data is encrypted using 256-bit SSL when it travels between the Trails Network and Memex Trails, and also between your web browser and the Trails Network website when you view your trails online.
Do you encrypt the data that is stored on the Trails Network?
No. If we used your password to encrypt your information, you would probably lose your data if you forgot your password, and we wouldn’t want that!
